Behold! our mighty saviors
Keeping their guard up at the borders,
Amidst dusty sandstorms and piercing rainfall
And in scorching heat and chilling snowfall,
Through sleepless nights devoid of moonlight
And hungry days, with stomachs tight;
They live exemplary lives of sacrifice
To protect us from threats and vice.

Today, we observed the Army Day to salute our guardians who have dedicated their lives to protect the nation, so that you(if you are a fellow Indian) and I could read, write, eat and sleep in peace. This poem is my humble way of acknowledging their valuable service.
With Love,
Surya😊
Additional Info : Army Day is celebrated on 15th January every year in India, in recognition of Field Marshal Kodandera M. Cariappa’s (then a Lieutenant General) taking over as the first Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army from General Sir Francis Butcher, the last British Commander-in-Chief of India, on 15th January 1949. Described their pain and service so effectively
